The funcionalities listed by Juna are really important and should be included on the new firmware version, specially the power data smoothing of 3 or 30 second for a better display of the power data and the capability of setting the power meter calibration (set the zero).

Is there any date for the release of the new firmware upgrade?

Hello aguenther,

So I am still a bit unclear as to the issue you're having. Did you test the BU-353 with the GPS Utility I mentioned in my last post?

If so, what happened? Were you able to select "usbserial" as the port?

And of course, you must have the BU-353 plugged in, in order for your computer to recognize it.

If you're still having issues, please provide some details as to your specific issue.

Hello aguenther,

What device are you using?
What version of OSX are you using?

If it's one of our USB GPS Receivers, you can test it with our GPS Utility:

In the user manual, you tell to check the sytem information underusb, inoder to confirm a proper installation. But this only works, if the gps device is connected. Otherwise the driver isn't shown.

According to the information on the link

"...our new cloud-based center development is in the final testing stage and will be ready in 2013 Q3..."

We are now near the middle of Q4, any news regarding the cloud version of TGP?

Thanks for the answer, but with such poor support and service I'm sure that my next watch will not be from GlobalSat.

Have a good day.

Unfortunately, the GH-505 is no longer a product that GlobalSat produces. Due to tempeture issues with the display screen and low sales the device has been discontinued. So finding repair and parts are not going to be availible. I'm sorry about the incovenence and you can always look on GlobalSat's website at or www. for the news athletic watches that might better fit your training and workout needs.

I used GH505 since 2010, on the last months I can see some problem to charge the battery, even if the battery sign at the watch show almost empty, I just start to charge and get 90% charge and after 10 minutes I get 100% charge but once I turn on the watch the battery sign is still very low.
I suspect that the battery is almost at the end of the life.
Can I replace the battery alone?
Or do you know if someone at Israel can fix that?

I have a GH505 since 2010 and still use it...  ;D
However, I recently tried to use it indoor (to record time and HR) but I can't get it to work... it records 1 point and that's it...
I have Firmware-F-GGH-2C-1010221

I saw some messages about indoor use but can't figure out if that was ever implemented or in beta?
Is it possible to record HR during indoor activity? If not, is there a beta firmware that would allow me to do so?

Thank you
