It's probably something very simple, but I don't seem to be able to call up  the compass-screen on my watch.
I have seen it in the past, and I thought it was easily accessed through the PG-button, but it's not there.

Anyone care to help me with this simple question?

Now I can join the group of a ratling GB580B. I have been a happy user since I was chosen as a tester in 2011. Now after the device has begun ratling it also has stopped being able to locate satellites. I guess I will try Rookies method of fixing...

Or maybe GS-globalsat are looking for testers of the GB-1000 device?  ;D

Kind regards?
TT

So I managed to open up the device.
As I stated before, it was the antenna that was loose.
Nothing is holding it up in place so it was rattling in the case.

I just glued it up, problem solve.

@GS_TECH01
I think that you engineer should have known right away that the problem was the antenna.
I told you that it was rattling "at the top of the device", which is where the antenna is.
Opening the case is quite easy, I will redo the silicone joint and close it back up.
Having the antenna rattling like that will, without a doubt, damage the antenna in the long run, so this is a mandatory fix in my opinion.
It is an easy fix and it could prevent other customer to loose there device in the "shippping back for warranty" black hole.
Not mention that, only in this forum thread, we are 3 customers to report this issue, so this should ba a concern.

Having said that, I am still very please with the GPS device!

Attached are the picture where it shows the loose antenna, where I applied some glue and where you have to open up the device.
There is no screws, just a silicon joint

I hope this can help someone else !

Has their been any word on when USGlobalsat will release a new GPS sportswatch?  Back in the day, they (company reps) shared a lot of info on the 625XT development over in the 625m forum.  I really like the GS-Sport products and will need to replace my watch later this year.  Is there anything in the works?

Recently, we have received multiple calls regarding issues users that are experiencing Blue Screens or Freezing with their BU-353, BU-353-S4 or ND-100S and DeLorme Street Atlas 2013 & 2014.

As of right now, the problem appears to only happen with the DeLorme Street Atlas navigation software. If you were to use any other navigation software, the issue does not exist. We are still trying to understand what is causing it, but most likely will have to be fixed by DeLorme.

One solution that we have found is with using GPSGate. If you are experiencing issues with DeLorme Street Atlas, please try following these steps:

Please download and install GPS Gate (http://update.gpsgate.com/install/GpsGateClient.exe) and then open GPS Gate and follow these steps in the setup wizard:

1. Only check box #3 "Search for NMEA compatible Serial Devices"
2. Click yes when it says "Found COMX", assuming the COM number is correct.
3. For Output, select only box #2 "I want to share my GPS between several applications".
4. A list of 4 COM ports will show up. Please note these down & click Finish.
5. You are set. Now using one of the four new COM ports shown on the previous step, select it on DeLorme Street Atlas and see if you continue having issues.

Please feel free to contact us if you encounter any issues.

Thanks.

Hello machinhus,

Yes, as long as the device itself is a GB-580P, then it should have the barometer.

Thanks.
