Hi everybody !
A happy new year to all of you !I want to take the opportunity to remember an earlier posting, when we were
talking about pace calculation:
However - the fact, that Garmin isn't able to create a useful pace display, doesn't mean that GlobalSat should lean back
and forget this job ! Perhaps this is a chance to outperform the Garmin technique ?!
... on the other hand... there is an old saying... I don't remember right now... I will have to catch up on that...
Regards, Hubert
In fact it was an old praying what I had in mind and this is what it's like:
God, grant me the serenity,
To accept the things I cannot change;
The courage, to change the things that I can;
And the wisdom, to know the difference. So - I think, this also applies to struggeling with pace calculation:
If it is not possible to provide a current pace... okay.
Maybe we have to accept this fact.
I think this is more or less the same, what Albert had in mind, when he
talked about slope calculation:
So if you can’t put the slope in forget it and implement it in the next generation together with a barometer.
Best regards,Albert
For those, who do not like the religious impression of the above saying,
I have another version, which I like a little bit more and maybe sometimes
we should remember this during future discussions:
For every ailment under the sun
There is a remedy, or there is none;
If there be one, try to find it;
If there be none, never mind it. This could be a good motto for 2010 !
