GH-505 can be achieve 10 days on clock mode, it should be much better for outdoor training.

I'm leaving for 2 weeks of vacation and I will use the navigation functions of my GH-625 during some
hiking tours in complete unknown areas. I hope the weather will be fine, than I'm sure to enjoy the time.

In the meantime, I wish everybody a good time !

I ended up just running 75miles (about 120km) I got a knee problem 1km before the 75 miles mark, totaly it took about 19hours. It was my first try and currently the longest run I have made (was 50 miles before) the 100 miles (160km) distace is actualy what I totaly train per month. Mayby I need more training per week so I can make it next time, time will tell.
One interesting point about the race was that Jonas Buud was there and broke the old swedish 100miles record with about 5h he was amazingly fast It took him about 12h 32min. I also think the the Swedish 100miles laydies record was broken.

But I don't think I'm the only one running this far on this forum there seem to be quite a few ultra runners present here. I don't know if the longer recording time made the gh615/gh625 a better option before the 310xt (with longer battery) came out, atlest this was one of the reasons I selected this watch in the first place.

I had to charge the watch 2 times with a powerbank, I just put the watch in my weaist belt with the power-bank connected during that time. The watch gave me some problems  Ill report that in one of the firmware threads.

I'm very impressed even though you didnt make the full 100 miles! 75 miles is still a great achievment! I'm even more impressed that you vere able to run as far when you're only training 25 miles per week! I run a lot more then that and I would never even consider running that far in a race... ;-)

And one more time I can tell: Using the smart track back function of my GH-625 is really fun !
I often used some pre-planned tours from other hikers to be found on local hiking websites or
GPSIES.com, loaded them into my watch and followed the track without any problems.

Okay - not really without all problems  Sometimes, when you arrive at a point, where the track
looks like a "Y", it isn't easy to decide, to go left or rigth. However - 50m later you will see,
if it was wrong or not. For hiking it's not a real problem.

So - finally it was big fun and I was happy to have my GH-625 friend with me

Yes with hiking it is not a problem to turn back, with cycling it is.But most of the time the disision is not a problem. And also people with maps make mistakes I found out. I love the relative small device.

Even we have announced GH-505, we will keep providing services on GH-625!

BTW, we are going to make GH-625XT. Which is more economical product, but has superior performance than GH-625.   We will recuit more hero join our group!
