BR-355 serial GPS receiver
« on: December 17, 2009, 05:13:29 am »

Hello

I purchased a new BR-355 serial GPS receiver from Expansys connecting to an Ipaq Pocket PC via a
HAICOM 203/204 GPS Cable when I first connected the LED light illuminated when power was supplied  but now it is bearly visible also it seems to be only working in SiRF protocol.

When I run the GPSinfo software supplied with it come up with loads of box symbols do you think the receiver is faulty  I have it connected to my

Ipaq 3950 on Windows CE 4.20
Memory RAM 64MB
System ROM 32MB

Cheers Baz

If you remove the unit from power for 72 hours, it should reset itself to default NMEA protocol.

Your receiver may very well be faulty or stuck in the SIRF protocol.  We recommend that you visit our web-site https://www.usglobalsat.com/signin.aspx?ReturnURL=/support/ to register your product and then generate a "Support Ticket" from within our system.
