Hi all,
today I had my first training with firmware version XII.
In these days we have very cold weather here and a lot of snow. So running outside
is much more difficult than in normal days. That means, test conditions are not ideal !
Anyway - there were 3 improvement to be tested:
* Pace
* Pace1K
* Indoor mode
For Pace I have the feeling, that it's more reliable than before, and I think
for my personal needs it will be okay. Unfortunately I couldn't test very intensive
because of weather conditions and my pace today was much slower than normaly.
So I'm not 100% sure, if the displayed values are really okay. But as I said. Looks okay.
For Pace1K I couldn't see any improvement. And as others said before: When we find
that normal pace works fine, we can ommit the pace1k function. This will free the
power and capacity of the watch for other items.
I didn't check Indoor mode . I can just tell, that I also do not see any reason to
keep the GPS on when Indoor is selected. And I do not understand Geoffrey explanation for this.
Anyway - For my personal use this is not sooo important. As a runner I seldom run indoor.
Especially because I'm not using a treadmill.
Summary for me: It's okay - but not a big step forward.
Regards, Hubert
