Power consumption when disabled?
« on: March 07, 2010, 08:00:18 am »
I'd like to find out what the power consumption of this module is when it is disabled via the enable pin. I'm planning a battery powered application and would like to find out if the enable pin is enough to lower power consumption to an adequate level (microamps) or if I need to use a transistor to really switch the unit off.

Thanks.

Hello Andrewwg_oz,

Our engineers suggest that if you plan on lowering the power consumption to a low level in order to save battery life, then just to turn off VIN(DC Power). Also, it is okay to use a power switch like a transistor as you mentioned.

Thanks.
