Signal re-acquisition after disable

Hi all,

I have 2 questions, thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me.

I'm in the process of designing a project using a EM-408, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I disable the 408 using the enable pin, will it be able to re-acquire it's position faster than if I had simply cut the power?

I was also wondering what the current draw of these devices when disabled (i.e. enable pin low)? I'm thinking of connecting a 1F capacitor across the supply rails so that when the power to the device is cut it becomes disabled via the enable pin, and hopefully draws so little current the 1F can keep the device on standby (rather than off) for a long time.

As our engineer suggested, you can do the following:

1. Please use the ON/OFF Pin control GPS module power, it will re-acquire position faster.
2. While using the ON/OFF Pin, there is no need to use the 1F capacitor. When in Disable mode, it only consumes 10uA (backup RTC power).
