Will gh505/gh625xt be more targeting the runner/training shops (and resellers) I think one of the problem with the old gh615/gh625 watches was that they at least in Sweden was not available in running/sportshops so many runners don't even know it exist. I think almost every race I'm at someone asks me what I have on my wrist.

The old photo from May in the forum of gh625xt didn't have the quadview but the 4lines view so that was why I wondered about the firmware.

Hi Zingo,

It would be appreciated if you can introduce us to the dealer and our sales will visit them later on.
GH-625XT firmware scale will be as similar as GH-505 with four quand views.

Sincerely,

Geoffrey

Hi
Here is a list of some of the training shop-chains i Sweden, I have probably missed some but people will probably correct me.  I don't know the cycle/swiming chains and I do not know the distributor I think it's the distributor you want to "hit".

Runners shop chains:
http://www.runnersstore.se/
http://www.loplabbet.se/

Normal Training shops:
http://www.intersport.se/
http://www.stadium.se/
http://www.sportex.se/

I think this is true not only for Sweden, but also for a lot of other countries !
There are a lot of people asking for shops to buy the watch and/or spareparts like belts an so on.
There are almost no press informations/reports/advertisings, so that most runners even don't know,
that the watch exist. If you want to increase your business, you should think about that.

Hi Geoffrey,

I'm just a normal customer of running equipment - I'm not deeply involved in training business channels.
What I could do, is to make a (short) list of companies, where I normally buy my equipment and maybe
also one or two magazines where I would expect some information about new/updates products.

I think, I will write a personal mail to you.

It takes a huge critical mass (read : deep pockets) for any non-European company to be able to market their products in "Europe". Whereas in the US, it may be possible to reach a huge audience by advertising in one or two major Running magazines, in Europe, each country would have its own magazine....or even several, in individual languages within one country. So above-the-line advertising may get prohibitly expensive very rapidely. Hence the GS products remain relatively unknown.

It's very difficult to make that concept clear to US Marketeers :-) I can tell, it's been my job for the last 25 years :-)

Hi Jervanheg,

European market is more complicated than US as we know. But they are enthusiastic and have passion.
BTW, Were you a magazine editor? ;) Perhaps you can expose more information through your plenty experience.

Why aren't you  manufacturing 505? (because I have been looking for it and I could not find it)
And which one is better, 625M or 505?
Thanks
