Hi Geoffrey, I read the new GlobalSat GH-625XT and I wanted to ask if it is already on sale and at what price.

I got to write on this forum about my problems with the GH-625M, you promptly resolved, and my suggestions for the future development of this device.

I must say I was impressed by the professionalism that you showed me and I found the Globalsat enough to have recommended to my friends sporting the purchase of the GH-625M.

Now I want to buy the new GH-625XT, even in anticipation of being able to use in my sporting events (running and mountain biking) look to know soon when it is available to the public.

Regards.

Dear customer,

It is happy you love our product and approve our skills. ;D This product is majority of development was finished. We expect to recruit tester in the end of March.
The price range is 110~149 eruo, i am not sure, depends on local tax.

Hope it is clear for you.

Sincerely,

Geoffrey

GB-580P has both these sensors.

Vaidas

Dear Vaidas,

Sorry I didn't reply in time since was occupied in these days.
GH-625XT doesn't embed barometer, we just use SIRFIV with higher accuracy of information.

Sincerely,

Geoffrey

Dear customer,

We will do our best to catch up your Christmas plan.

We have done the majority of features, expect to release by Christmas.

Maybe it will be slip to Q1,2011. We got stuck on programming.

Could be by the end of March.
We are designing packaging and integrating software now....
Now its very close to Q2, will there be a releasedate before summer, 50/50... ;)
But the latest successfully release, GH-625M, works great, but it's a bit old and got alot of wrinkles and it needs to rest now.  8)

Have a nice first of April and a wonderful weekend!

This is a point I argued in another post... i believe GS is trying to do too much at the same time, and with the limited R&D bandwidth, products are released late.
Example: recently, Nike released its GPS sportwatch. - an impressive kit, if you ask me.. Responsive, fantastic display, and the smallest I've seen. Aimed at a niche market, but because of this, it does it very well. It is my belief GS attempts to put in too much effort into Doing everything at the same time, making some products being beaten by competitor products before they are released...
I'm a big big fan of GS products and their support, but I'm hungry for more... I've spent money on other products in the meantime, while my money could have gone to GS only if they would have beaten the market in a few instances in the past. By the time the products are released, GS must already play catchup...

Dear customer,

Thanks for loving our product. GB-580 is almost finished, I have wrote manual and QSG by this weekend, only gift boxt left...
We are programming training gym pro for 625XT now...

Actually, we are major focus on ODM GPS manufacturing and design. We got too many inquiries from market which have famous brand in these days, and almost occupy our resources ... GS-Sport is the one part of our product line. I think the resources will be released soon.

We will keep our best to serve customers and hope you keep supporting our product.

Sincerely,

Geoffrey

March came and went we are now in April Geoffrey.
How long before you sell the 625xt?
And, will I be able to use my footpod with it.  Considering I cannot with my 625M.  I also see my 625M battery life has gone from long to short in very short  ownership.  Will you be making sure battery quality is good and long lasting?  Can I replace battery in my 625M?
cheers,
Mike
