If you have any problems pairing this device or prefer to directly connect this to a computer, you need to utilize the USB Data Cable that is purchased separately. Basically, it's not the included charging cable or a regular USB cable. In order to use this, you need to configure the baud rate to 38400. Also, this can be used to charge the device.
