@Geoffrey: I still haven't received the GH-505.  I followed instructions and emailed Claire on the adress further up in the thread 17th of february and have pm:ed you through the forum twice the last weeks to discuss this. What have gone wrong?

Effectively, I am still waiting for the sample.
Everyday I check my mail box, but I did not receive anything.
I sent the email to Claire, before the 17th.

I posted my initial thoughts in the thread about sailing (http://www.usglobalsat.com/forum/index.php?topic=1633.msg8830#msg8830).

I have not had a chance to use it much more as my wife just gave birth and I have some other things to focus on just now  .

Will though post comments as soon as I get a chance to get out on the water again.

Hi Geoffrey,

I got my sample last week.
I just made a few tests as I am in the same status as seglare. My wife just gave birth to my daughter (earlier this morning).

From now on, what  saw :
- GPS first fix in a few time (<2min), even in my courtyard when my Smartphone (N95) takes more than 5min.
- GPS trace seems OK even inside the surrouding woods (but they are not too deep).
- Quad view and customizable screens is a very good point.
- Display,what a shame that there is the frozen pixel problem as viewablity is very good in many conditions of light (sunshine, twilight)
- I saw some french translation the doesn't sound right. Maybe if you have a file with all the screens message in english, you can send it to me so I translate it. Otherwise I will scout around in the menus to find the bad translations and tell them to you.

It is glad to know you received the watch with comments.
Display problem is ciritical and was the reason to hold production.
But for further project, we will  upon the firmware of GH-505 to develop.
