BT-368
« on: May 19, 2011, 04:38:22 pm »

Hi
I have got the BT-368 and I try to get it to function with my Macbook Air.  I am using OS 10.6.7 which I believe is the latest version of the operating system. It looks like the Mac is finding the receiver through bluetooth, but the blue light on BT-368 blinks only once every 3 second.  So when I am using the marine software (Navionics) nothing happens.  I believe that there is something to do the mac.  Any suggestion how to fix this.

Thanks

We have a couple of questions for you:

Has the device worked before? Or, is this the first time you're using the device?
Can you please try to unpair the device and pair it up again?
Is that marine software NMEA-compliant?

Hi again and thanks for the answer.

No, the item is new, and I have only tried it towards two different macbooks, with identical negative results.  The OS on the two macbooks are both version 10.6.7.  I have tried to pair and unpair the device several times.  And, yes the marine software is NMEA compliant.

Thanks

Is the device fully charged? Have you tried turning off and turning back on the unit?

Did it successfully pair with your computer? You can refer for instructions here (pg. 4): http://www.usglobalsat.com/store/download/537/btsg.pdf
