Pace 1k
« on: April 05, 2011, 05:00:59 pm »

Have been looking for the discussion about trying to make pacecalculations for the last kilometer. Where did it go? I can't find it.
Actually i'm wondering about even shorter span but right now i'd be happy if someone can point me in the right direction.

Hi Anders,

there were a lot of discussions about 2 years ago. I think you will find most
of them in the GH 625 part of the forum. I'm sure they are spread over several
threads - this is just one for example:

http://www.usglobalsat.com/forum/index.php?topic=953.msg1457#msg1457

As a summary, I think Pace1k was created to optimize earlier pace calculations.
However - later on, the "normal" pace calc. algorithm became much better
and so the pace1k was removed again.

Hi Geoffrey, thank you for missing me  ;)

I try to read almost every posting, but I have nearly no time for writing some own
postings. My job occupies too much time. I even had to reduce my training.
And I'm not very happy about this.
However - beside this, I'm almost happy with my GH-625 and GH-505, and there are
no big problems that I want to be modified. There is only one thing, what I would like
to see: The advantages of both, combined in a single model, optimized with a new
SIRF IV chip !  I think, this will be the 625XT and I would be really happy to join the
group of testers.
And I'm working on reducing the time used for my job, so that I have enough time for
testing !  ;)

I'm no going for a short vacation and I hope to read some news about 625 XT,
when I'm back.

Take care and best regards,

Hubert

Hi Hubert,

Hope your heavy leave shortly and join us soon.
I am also occupied a lot of job in these days; I am also trying to find the way to release the loading.
I am testing GH-625XT now, the result seems positive, I will apply one for you once available.

@Anders:
I have found another thread, maybe even more interesting than the one mentioned above:

http://www.usglobalsat.com/forum/index.php?topic=1214.msg4114#msg4114

However - I'm sure there are some more....
