For Track uploading, you can use DATA TRANSMISSION> UPLOAD TO DEVICE to transfer trace to device to performance SMART TRACK BACK.

That has never worked for me. GYM 1.6.2 almost always give an exception when selecting an activity. The few times there is not giving an exception, the upload hangs after a few seconds.

Uploading is not in the COM spec, I have used Phil's code as an example, trying to implement it myself. Then the device hangs instead.
I still hope to get an answer if the feature is supported or not, this a blocker for an official release of the Globalsat plugins.

The device is not officially released yet, there will be updates...

Now TGP 1.6.2 seems has compatibility problem of GPX, so you may download with no luck.
We have fixed the problem for next TGP release and under testing now.

Hi all,

yesterday I started a new test run with latest firmware loaded into my GH-625XT.
The idea was to test:

• Superior Smart Track Back
• Improved HRM
• Improved distance measurement

Therefore I started with two watches (GH-625 and GH-625XT) with one belt only.

To make a long story short: After about 15 min. of following my track back route,
when I looked again to my GH-625XT to get some info about my next track point,
I was really astonished: It was completely dark. Off !   
Maybe that it had given a sound during shutting down and I didn't hear that, because
in general the beeps are not loud enough for me. So I cannot tell this...

But I can tell is what happened just some minutes ago:
I played around with the STB function (zoom in/out) when I noticed, that the scale
wasn't readable anymore. Whatever zoom I selected, the scale always showed "00 m".
When switching to other displays, I also saw, that all first characters of the main menu
where gone. I didn't care about this and continued my run. Some minutes later the
watch was Off.

After switching On again and re-activating my track back route, I could continue and
finish my run without any more problems. However - at the end I saw, that again the
first characters of main menu (and also of user display) where lost. I made two photos
to show this :



I have no idea, if these problems are related to the latest firmware or to special situation
of STB or whatever...

Of course the worst thing what can ever happen to a sport watch, is that it switches
itself off. Needless to say that all recorded track points were not saved and completely
lost.

I did a test of the battery life.
the watch turned off after 20.5 hours in 6 records in 4 days  , GPS & HRM on, backlight off.
Very good

About upper right corner on pic...
Same thing here: just some micro spot where grey paint removed from ring, not much. Perhaps paint just a little fragile on the edge. No worries... I take great care of my baby

The watch recovered immidiately after switching Off/On.
This is not the problem. Even missing characters are only
a minor problem. I'm more afraid about the switching itself Off.
I'm sure, battery was okay (you can see in photo). I think
this was a complete software crash and maybe missing
characters are a first sign of this problem. Just a guess.

Unfortunately I have nothing else than the photos what
could be used for deeper analysing. I think we have to
wait and see, if it happens again.

We have discussed with engineer, it needs more money to strength paint. However, they won't guarantee 100% against paint fragile.

I am also thinking this is software crash. I have encountered before from interval training.
Now we finished smart trainer, PC Route. I think we will release new firmware and software for testing by next weekend.

But there are many manual to work.... Even more translate....

some feedbacks from the today use..
1/  Trackback.. Ok for short "track" only.. Read : http://www.usglobalsat.com/forum/index.php?topic=3960.45
2/  HR => No more issue.. OK for me.
3/  Track recording and sensibility.. => Perfect
4/  Training Gympro
   - Track (*.gpx) transfert to GPS : non working ==> Work around save the *.gps as *.klm first then reload and transfer to GPS will work)
   - Map : error when mouse pass over (already reported)
   - When Gympro is opened for GH625XT => no need to have "cadence" and "power" selected! Each time i have to un-select..
   - Tab "Trackpoint" : will be very useful to be able to erase some points (in case of late stop for instance..)

Hi everybody,

I tried the latest software on my GH625XT.
I did a run with both the GH625XT and the GH505.
Wearing the two heartbelts is doable, maybe not confortable for a long time activity.
Conclusions so far :
* HRM no differences between GH625XT and ANT belt (just +1 bpm for HR max). No spikes or offset.
* GPS precision = great, track is precise.
* altitude cumulation = I got a great surprise GH625XT showed +250m and the import of the trace under Openrunner.com showed 227m (using NASA elevation datas).
* Superior track back = everything already told on his specific topic.

I had a display issue after validating the save&exit under user's screen.
On the upper left of the screen there was a blank column a bit like Hubert's watch.
When I pushed PG to switch another display, it returns normal. No need to switch off the watch.

It seem to become more and more ready for customers.

There are discussions about the accuracy for distance/HR in several threads. I choose to continue in this.

I have done some updates to Trails plugin to simplify comparing complete or parts of activities.
With this, you can compare exactly where the data sources differs.
I have spent (too much) time on plugin writing to write down details.
A summary though is that the 625XT is much closer to the ideal position ideally, but the distance "wiggles" more especially in slower speeds that gives a higher total reading. The track also "overshoots" some corners.

I added some examples at the documentation:

 * Globalsat "overshot" in a curve.

Total distance is OK (close to average for that trail).

 * Globalsat too high HR reading.

This is an example that stands out negatively, most other results are better.
