Beta plugin for SportTracks 3.0

I am wondering if ST3.0 open the platform for plugin development?
It has always been open for 3rd party plugin development.

Zingo is working on porting the plugin to ST 3.0, it's a completely new API and I barely look at it.
What do you mean with "open the platform"?

Downloading track/trails works and uploading/downloading waypoints, but I got stuck on the "map-editing" of waypoints stuff.

Here is a "beta" plugin to tryout for the interested:

Im having some discussion with Gerhard (one of the active plugin writers for SportTracks) He suggested to split out way points handling so it can be used by other brands also, Ill think that it could be a good idea as in that case the working parts can be released. I have big unsupported race next weekend that needs a lot of planing, but Ill give the plugin a new shot again after the race, please continue to bump and nag about it and I might actually try to do something again :)

Hi Geoffrey,

I've had ST2.1 and ST3.0 installed together at the same computer with no problem. Now I am only using ST3.0. I've installed Zingo's beta plugin but it seems that I can't choose the GB580B as a device to import from.

Maybe you have more luck ;-)

Don't know if the gh580 uses the same protocol as gh505?  Atleast what I know currentlt Sporttracks supports gh615/gh625/gh505/gh561 so gh580 might not be supported, but I would try gh505 as it might be the same protocol. (I don't have a gh580 so I cant test but the plugin.

The sourcecode has not been changed since 2010 so there is no special gh580 code in it:

Actually, SportTracks told me that they already integrated GB-580, but still in public.  You may ask on http://www.zonefivesoftware.com/sporttracks/forums/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=10955 for test version.

Sincerely,

Geoffrey

*Update* Now it is supported, great!

Geoffrey

I have installed the new plugin and after that it is possible to select import from GB580B. However, I haven't had luck with getting it to work. When I try to import - Sporttracks opens the import window, but i seems it never get the communication channel up and running with the GB580. With my GH625M it works perfect. Anyone who has had success?

Hello!

Here's the new version of my plugin adding support to GH-580. (Export tracks, waypoints, config, etc)

http://www.mediafire.com/?0yfjk7fpn81mhvc

This is only for ST 2.1, which is the version I use.

Zingo, let me know if you want to update your 3.0 version your and I can send you the modified code.

Regards
Phil

Phil, that would be great. Plan to start to look into it as my next home-project for a while after my domin move.
