As I wrote in my previous message, my goal is to develop a plugin for JOSM  (http://josm.openstreetmap.de), to be able to download the GPS tracks from the GP-200 directly into JOSM.
I am not a corporate user, I am an end user. OpenStreetMap is not a commercial project, it is an open source and open data project. It has more than 500,000 members around the world that record GPS tracks and update the map every day. Look at http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Main_Page .

After I have received the DG-200 documentation, I will update the GlobalSat JOSM plugin, I will publish the source code and I will add the DG-200 to the list of supported devices (http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/GPS_Reviews).

We've been using the DG-100's with custom software for the last few years and are considering supporting the DG-200.  Has the communication protocol changed significantly?

Welcome to the forums!

The communication protocol of the DG-200 has some differences compared to the DG-100's Communication Protocol. One key difference is the baud rate. The DG-200 is using a much higher baud rate, which is 230400. On the other hand, the baud rate of the DG-100 is 115200.
