Hi, i was wondering if the ET-332 Engine Board provides pseudo-range and delta pseudo-range information; or some information that i can use to calculate this parameters.

Basically, the default output of most of our GPS Receivers is NMEA. Please refer here for the NMEA sentences being used by the module: http://www.usglobalsat.com/store/downloads/NMEA_commands.pdf

Can you please provide some details or give some information about pseudo-range and delta pseudo-range? Also, are you looking at a specific sentence or data? Please explain further.

Hi!, well i need to compute pseudorange and delta pseudorange values. This is not possible using NMEA protocol, so i need to use SiRF,
Now, i've seen that the information that i need to get these values is in Msg ID 28 (including Carrier frequency field) and Msg ID 7 of SiRF protocol. What i'd like to know is whether these messages are transmitted by the ET-332 Engine Board.

I was reading the document but I can't figure out what SiRF Software is the ET-332 Engine Board using. The Sirf Protocol document has a Table (Table 3-3 for Output Messages) which shows supported messages for different software options: GSW2, SiRFDRive, SiRFXTrac, SiRFLoc, GSW3&GSWLT3, SiRFDiRect and GSD3tw. I'd like to match ET332 Software with one of this if its possible. I guess it's GSW3, but I'm not sure.

The software that the document is referring to is called SiRFDemo. To switch to SiRF protocol, please carefully read the instructions below:

1. Download the SiRFDemo program: (http://www.usglobalsat.com/store/downloads/SiRFDemo387.zip).
2. Extract the file and install the application.
3. Connect the engine module.
4. Open up the software.
5. Select the proper com port and baud rate.
6. Go to Action > Open Data Source.
7. Next, go to Action > Switch to SiRF Protocol.
8. If you see scrolling data in the Response View window, it means the board is in SiRF Mode.

You should be able to see the SiRF sentences coming through.

Yes, but I don't the ET-332 yet!. I want to buy two or three for my thesis, but i'm making my decision on that information.

Based on our engineers, since they are not entirely familiar with the MsgID portion of SiRF (and it also depends on the SiRF firmware version), the module should be able to support/output the said info/data in the SiRF binary mode. For your reference, the ID 7 outputs in default and you can send a command to turn on ID 28 in SiRF mode. Please refer to the SiRF/NMEA documents for the command details.
