Display broken?
« on: January 18, 2012, 02:10:59 pm »

Hello,

I have a 615M with 625 firmware. Clock is a couple of years old but not used very much.

I had just finished a session and stopped timer and pressed escape to save and reset. Then the display went a bit scrambled but mostly inverted (white text on black background). The screen did not update anymore and after the device had been shut off the display wont come back on when I power the device up. I can hear the buttons beep and if I press the display button the empty display lits up so there is power. Just no text.

If attach to computer the software recognizes the device and I can download data.

I tried the UP+DOWN+Power and it beeped and beeps on every buttonpress but I cant see anything. in display.

Any idea if this device is permanently broken or is there anything I can try?

Thanks,
Magnus

Hi Magnus,

this seems to be an hardware-problem. If you live in Europe, I can check and repair your watch. If you want me to do so, please send a mail.

Best regards
