Cable Sets
« on: March 04, 2011, 12:03:02 pm »

Please refer below for the proprietary cable sets that can be used with the MR-350P:

BR305-RS232 RS232 Cable Set: http://www.usglobalsat.com/p-228-br305-rs232-rs232-cable-set.aspx#images/product/large/228.jpg
BR305-USB2 USB Cable Set: http://www.usglobalsat.com/p-227-br305-usb2-usb-cable-set.aspx#images/product/large/227.jpg
For more info, click here: http://usglobalsat.com/p-58-mr-350p-bulkhead.aspx#images/product/large/58.jpg

Apparently, these sets can only be used with the said device. In short, other cable adapters would not work.

Additional information below:

The "block" in the USB cable set converts the RS232 signal from the MR-350 to USB for the computer.

The RS232 cable set is a straight through.

Another thing, the cable sets are not included with the unit is because some end-users doesn't have any specific use for the cable sets. Some would prefer a USB connection; whereas, others would go for a RS232 connection. Or, in other cases, they would cut off the PS2 connection and strip off the wire connecting them to a host device. In short, it would not benefit them in anyway if they have other preferred connections for the MR-350P.
