Hi,
I've recently bought a DG-200 and am very happy with it so far.  However, I note that I can only view the altitude in meters when I've downloaded the data from the DG-200 to Data Center, and similarly the altitude is in meters when I save the records to a *.gpx file.

I can see that I can change speed from km/hr to mph but I can't see any way to change altitude.  Is there some way I can get altitude in feet?  If not, may I suggest this facility as a future upgrade to Data Center?

I'm using Data Center version 1.2.2.111104, which is the latest I can see on your web site.

Many thanks for your help.

In GPX file format, meter is the norm, but the program you use to display the gpx may do the conversion for you (it should only do it to display it, the data in the file MUST be in meters).
In GlobalSat's Datacenter (1.2.2.111104) you can't change the display unit so far.

Ah yes, thank you - I understand now that the meter is the prescribed unit in the gpx schema.

I'm using the DG-200 to log gps data that I later tag to my digital photo exif metadata (I generally use the very excellent Exiftool by Phil Harvey for that!  :) ) and I would like to have the elevation for the photo displayed in feet.  Does anyone know of a simple software tool (or other way) that I could use to convert the meters to feet before importing to the exif metadata please?

Many thanks

The Exif format allows miles, but you really should stick to meters.
If any conversion occurs, it should be in the program that reads your Exif.
I use GeoSetter (which uses ExifTools), I checked, and it gives you the choice to display data in metric or imperial units.

*** EDIT ***

I just checked, and altitude must be stored in meters in the EXIF data : http://www.sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/TagNames/GPS.html
So it can only be converted to feets on display time.

OK thank you for this - @'ve just been trying Geosetter out, and it looks like a great package which solves my problems !
Many thanks for your help.

Our engineers just added this feature, wherein you can view the Altitude in feet. Please download the latest version of the Data Center Utility from here: http://www.usglobalsat.com/store/download/677/datacenter.zip

Let me know if you have any questions.
