Would it work with the Kenwood TMD-700A VHF-UHF transceiver?

Unfortunately, the BU-353 would not be able to work with it. However, the BR-355 or MR-350P should be able work on a VHF radio, as long ot accepts RS232 levels at 4800 baud rate. You can find more info in this forum posting: http://www.usglobalsat.com/forum/index.php?topic=3640.0

The reason that the BU-353 will NOT work with the VHF radio is because it is a USB device. A USB device requires a USB HOST in order for it to work. The VHF radio does not have a USB HOST.
 
That's why we recommend the BR-355 or the MR-350P because it is a SERIAL device.
