Alright, thanks for sharing that info about the FIT format. Will go ahead and share this with our engineers.

Will let you know if we need any testers. As of now, our engineers will be looking into this.

Thanks for your suggestion and interest.

Hello abarth,

The update for now is that our engineers are still studying the .fit format and wondering if they can integrate it in the TGP.

Hello Avisw,

Yes - there are other ways. I use Sporttracks 3 to import the data from the device (using the Globalsat Device plugin). After that I export this as a .tcx file using the plugin "TCX export". This export-file can then be imported to endomondo. Works very well.

Does this Sporttracks workflow includes Power data too? If not, then there is no known way to upload power data to third parts websites or applications right? I would like to attach a FIT file with power but I don't seem to find a way to attach files to this message...

thanks for the quick response...

Hello Avisw and vmiceli,

Hmmm - in fact I don't know if Power-data is transferred because I only have the GB-580B version (I am a happy tester of this ;D).

However, I can confirm that GPS-data, Heartrate and speed+altitude (from GPS) are transferred, and gets all the way through to Endomondo.

Regards

I doubt power is transferred... I wouldn't mind to record a power track with this unit in parallel to an edge 500 so that power data can be used to write some code. I think this is the largest flaw of the current firmware/software.

SportTracks and the tcx export plugin handles power, I do not think Endomondo does though
(If you do not have a power meter, the GPS2Power plugin is a quite good substitute)

Yeah, but can you import power data from the device into sporttracks? That's the question...

I am writing the plugin and it imports the data in the device as specified. So if you see Power in TGP it should be imported to ST, unless the specification is wrong or there is a strange bug in the plugin. I have not seen any user with a power meter connected to a 580P.
