Hi,

I used to use a GH-505 on the same pc which I lost so got the 625xt

Using 625 for first few times scan com port was successful intermittently but my sense was it was something on my laptop interferring not the watch.

I've now got the situation where the firmware is 2.02 F-GGH-2P-1201201, software 1.6.8 and prolific driver version in windows 7 device manager 3.4.25.218 but when I plug the watch in it shows up in windows device manager with a com port but when I scan from the software it shows the correct com port but I get device detection failed.

I've tried things like stopping anti virus and switch off the firewall. Has anyone got any other ideas.

Hi - I sorted the problem. It was something to do with .Net Framework 3.5.1.

Got yesterday a new gh-625xt and before starting with it i like to be up to date with the newest firmware. The actuel fw is F-GGH-2P-1110141. After several trials to do an update i got lost. I get always an indication "device detection failed. Please check device COM Port /baude rate settings".
I am not a computer specialist and just want to use the new gh625xt.
Can someone give me a step by step advice. The manual (I am german) does not give to much assistance.
What I did:
- i downloaded the new FW from GS to my computer and stored it.
- I updated Gym Pro to version 1.6.8
- I started in Gym the Configuration, firmware upgrade
- the gh-625xt is connected to pc and pc connection was selected, indication "Waiting for PC connection"
- when i try to follow the upgrade procedure in gym it shows the above mention message.
- Also com port scanning does not help.

Hope my question is not to stupid but those problems faces a normal user of the gh 625xt

you have to install the USB-driver first, than plugin the USB-cable.

Good news, the system works and TGP now has access to the GH 625XT.
Thank you Longjog for your assistance to check for COM Port identification.
The major problem was caused by myself. I upgraded the TGP to version 1.6.8 but did not recognize that in the TGP start menue I had to select Device GH 625XT. By default GH 625 showed up (maybe caused by the older Version TPG) and I thought thats ok. After changing to GH 625XT everything works well. For the new FW F-GGH-2P-1201201 I think its mandatory to work with TGP 1.6.8 .
Now I will start to check the possibilities with the GH 625XT.
