What do you mean by "transfer protocol has a few unused bytes, but the internal storage may be full?"

Adding more information from the device requires:
1. That the data is stored in the device. This storage may be fully used
2. Transfer protocol device-PC must include the information. The packet format may be changed, but then compatibility is broken. However, there are 7 bytes currently unused that can be used to transfer the info.

My wish list

- reiterate previously mentioned desire to have the ability to de-activate pages.  I don't always need 4, so less button-pressing to flip between the ones I do want

- ability to select if I want the distance from speed sensor or GPS.  In twisty tree-covered single track it might be that the speed-sensor yields a more accurate distance than GPS, so it would be nice to be able to downgrade to old (non-gps) technology

- an odometer reading .. in addition to existing distance (which gets reset upon starting a new activity). This is analogous to an odometer vs trip-distance in a car.  Perhaps this is there and I just haven't found it yet. I'm still learning about all the settings.

You already can, if it can't find the speed sensor it takes the GPS automatically. Or go to    [MAIN MENU] > [CONFIGURATION] > [ACCESSORIES]
> [SENSORS] > [SPEED] > NO. this thus the job for you.

I like to have all the totals, but it is maybe not so good to have it on the device. A normal bicycle computer battery can last too more than a year, the device in use 18 hours, so if it runs flat you ODO will be lost. Better to have it in TGPro I think. It could be done in the Device but than we need a flash memory type of storage in it.

I think that the temperature doesn't have to be a decimal fraction like 30.28 degree Celcius, just 30 is enough:

Also, a temperature scale switch should be implemented either automatically or by allowing  manual selection between the two common temperature scales. So selecting English units for distance/elevation should display Fahrenheit degrees, Metric units selected should display Centigrade/Celsius degrees. Right now even though I have selected English units (Miles/Ft) for distance, the temperature is displayed in Centigrade/Celsius instead of Fahrenheit degrees

I think doing that has USB mode to load *. gpx directly to the cycling-computer would do much more compatible with all websites, is essential for mac and linux. and to have the option to disable data screens

I have the newest firmware and when it runs out of memory it goes to the clock screen and then doesn't respond to anything other than a hard powerdown. Seems like a bug.
It would be better if, when there are multiple older tracks, to delete the oldest track and keep recording until it gets to a single track then signal out of memory.

Some refinements

Display:
The 580P uses the larger display better than the 625XT, for instance no black borders.
The labels (Like Distance, Speed) should be smaller and numbers bigger.
3 digits accuracy applies to everything here too, except pace/time (4) or pressure

Running mode for speed/distance, better use for occasional runners.

Shortcut menu to change elevation, gps on/off, bike profile.

Even a good product can be improved.

Hello,

 - Can we have option to display current GPS position on custom screens, or even better on Compass screen (Only way i found to display it is to go to 'Save  waypoint' option - bit annoying if i want to have just quick look)

Another feature that would be nice to have the option of auto turn on/off. Many regular bike computers start automatically when the wheel moves and the sensor sends information to the computer and turn off after a period of inactivity (30 minutes, 1 hr, 2 hrs) This would help save battery. Don't know how much battery the TOD (Time of Day mode) saves but the unit not always goes to TOD mode even when it is set for 5 minutes and I find I have not enough battery for a ride just right before I head out.
