LCD display and Mounting bracket
« on: August 09, 2013, 08:52:27 am »

Things had been going very well with my unit until this past Wednesday when I fell after having a flat on my front wheel. When I went down, (not terribly hard mind you) the head unit became dislodged from it's mounting bracket. Personally I believe this should not have happened as it was basically me tipping over at a complete stop of a fall. When that happened, it caused the LCD display in the unit to completely shatter. The unit still powers on, but I am unable to see the display or navigate to connect to the computer to see if it still is recording any data.  I feel the mount should be improved to prevent this from happening. Also, is there any way to replace this screen or the unit as I feel it should have survived this incident. There is no visible damage to the exterior of the casing or outer screen. I have really enjoyed having the GPS capability this unit has provided me, but can't afford to buy another one after less than 6 months. :(
