I have used the GB580P for 4 months now with much pleasure, but since last week I suddenly do not get a GPS-signal anymore.

I tried Factory reset, and used older and newer firmware, but the screen with "Locating Satellites..." stays at "00/4 FIXED" and you see the progress bar some millimeters progressing and then getting back to zero. On the screen with GPS info I see "WEAK SIGNL" and no satellites in the circles on the screen.

How can I solve this problem (I'd like to take it on my holiday that starts in 1 week)?

Welcome to the forums! Good to hear that you have been using the device with much pleasure. As for your issue, I just have a couple of questions:

What is the current firmware version of the device? Is it the latest one (F-GGB-2O-1204131)?
If so, perhaps you can try updating the firmware again. Please download the firmware files from here: (https://www.yousendit.com/download/QlVpYnU5OW50QTFEZU1UQw). Please carefully read the instructions first.
 
Moreover, what is the testing environment? Do you have a clear access to an open sky, with no tall trees or buildings around?

You can try to turn off the device, wait for a few seconds, and power it back on.
Next, make sure that the GPS under GPS Setting (Main Menu > Configuration) is enabled, as well as the WAAS/EGNOS is set to ON.
Then, try to test the device with the GPS INFO and check the fix status.

I have tried your suggestions (several times) but it doesn't work.

Firmware = F-GGB-2O-1204131
Open environment
Turned it on and off several times, with some hours in between
All GPS settings ON
No Satellites to be seen...

Actually I contacted Albert from who I bought the device and he did the same suggestions, but it doesn't help...

For me this looks like a harware failure. The device should be exchanged or send to GS for repair.

same problem... it most likely means that the forwarding address from that service account doesn't exist. Can you send an email to that address to verify that?

In the mean time... I am a little bit hesitant to ship my GB580P accross the world and hope it's the right address and someone is going to help me...

I have shipped the GPS and hope to find a nice package with a repaired/replaced GPS when I get home from my holidays...

And indeed, after my vacation I could receive my GB580 and do some rides: it works again! From the text attached to the package I could only read the words "GPS-cable"...

I have the same problem as noted in this thread.  I sent an email to the service address but
have not received any response.  Does any body know if it is still valid .. or should north american buyers be using a different contacts.
