Incorrect date and hour
« on: July 21, 2012, 11:05:05 am »

This week arrived my new gb580p from Deal Extreme. I've a question:
Is normal that sometimes when I switch on my gb580p, the device show an incorrect date and hour?

Yes, it is normal that time is 2009 when SAT sync is lost (time not backed up?) before getting a GPS fix

Thanks gerhard.

It's strange, friday when I switched off the device the date was incorrect but yesterday when I switched it on after two days the date was correct..

Anyway, I've only test it a little.

Hello kimso,

You can also try enabling the GPS and WAAS/EGNOS. To do this, you can go to Main Menu > Configuration > GPS Setting. Just select ON for the WAAS/EGNOS and GPS options.

Also, make sure to update the latest firmware (F-GGB-2O-1204131) available. Please check your email for the firmware file and upgrade instructions.

Just let me know if you have any questions.
