My triathlondebut
« on: September 06, 2012, 02:17:45 am »

Made my triatlondebut last weekend using the old gh-505.
It was a sprinttriathlon (swim:750m, bike 20km, run 5km). Ironman is at least 10 times harder I guess so this makes me 10% of an ironman or rather 10% of Longjog  :)

Just made it into the corner of the local newspaper.

NICE!!!!

But remember, that was just first step, you can't turn around anymore  ;)

Next year, olympic distance, half distance ...

Btw. Did you get more ideas for next triathlon watch when you used gh-505 in your first race?

Looking good Anders!

By the way, how was the GH-505's performance in the triathlon?

Also, any ideas, as Rookie mentioned, for the next triathlon watch?

Hello!
Apologies for my late reply.
No, I didn't really get any good ideas. I never used the triathlonwatch in a proper way the short while I was preparing for the race so during the race i only used laps to measure my swimming, biking, running since i didn't want to screw things up. Thought I should use it more during autumn to get to know it better but I've had a cold since august, my longest illness in my entire life i think. It let go for a week during the race but a week later I was out too long in a bad wind and caught the cold again. :-(
So no running here. I got a very good idea for timing races as an organizer but it turned out that it's already perfected (almost) at http://www.racesplitter.com/ :-)

Have a good weekend!
