Unhandled exception in GS-Sport Training Gym Pro
« on: October 07, 2012, 02:06:16 pm »

Hello together,
today I had a problem with saving the activity file from the GS-Sport Training Gym Pro software to my computer. The error occurs while saving the activity file as a GPX file. I need the GPX file because I have to see each waypoint information.

I get following error message. After I close the software an restart it, it works without problems.

The text behind the Details is:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Hello,

Please uninstall the previous version of the Training Gym Pro first and restart your computer. Then, download the latest version from here: http://www.gs-sport.com/globalsat_admin/new_file_download.php?Pact=FileDownLoad&Pval=4519

Let me know how it goes.

Nothing changed. My version before was the same. Two tracks I could save without any error. The third one throws the error. Do you have any other recommendations?

No sorry, it don't work all the time. Sometimes I can save the file without any problems. Sometimes I get the error.

My system is:
Microsoft Windows XP
Professional
Version 2002
Service Pack 3

In the option dialog I don't have the option "run this programm as an administrator". You can choose that only on Vista and Win7. So I install it under "C:\GS-Sport Training Gym Pro" But nothing change. I get the same error.

I think the reason has something to do with the pathname or language...

Perhaps, the other file, with the error issue, that you have is corrupted. Regarding the file without any problems, how old are they? Did you just recently recorded them?

Thanks for providing your system info. Just wondering, are you logged in as an admin?
You can possibly disable your antivirus program, if any.

No, the file is not corrupted. I'am very sure about that. Because, if I get the error and I start the program new, it works sometimes fine. But sometimes not and I have to start my computer new and then the file was accepted.  :-\  The files are very new.

Got it. Thanks for the update.

Can you please send me that file that you're having an issue with? Please send it to support@usglobalsat.com and just include a brief description of the issue.
Once I received that file, I'll go ahead and take a look at it.

I have a systematic error message in GS-TGP, when my mouse pointer is over the map field...

Any workaround?

Take a look here:
 http://www.usglobalsat.com/forum/index.php?topic=3888.0

I don't understand why they did not corrected this in the latest release since it's a well know error for such a long time.

Thanks canadien for providing the link. I will go ahead and forward this issue to our engineers.

Hello sbouju,

Perhaps you can try this workaround here: http://www.usglobalsat.com/forum/index.php?topic=3888.msg11469#msg11469
