SIRF III or SIRF IV?
« on: November 07, 2012, 10:41:27 am »

Hello... in which SIRF chip is based this module? Because in some places says that is SIRF III and in others is SIRF IV... Thanks in advance! Jose

It has the SiRFStarIV chipset. You can find more details about it here: http://www.usglobalsat.com/p-683-et-662-sirf-iv.aspx#images/product/large/683.jpg

Thanks for pointing it out. It has been modified to the SiRFStarIV. You can go ahead and check again.

As for the datasheet, I will check with our engineers to see if this is available. Please standby.

Hello Jose,

Sorry for the confusion. After confirming with our engineers, the ET-662 has a SiRFStarIII chipset. Just modfied our product page to this information. Please check here: http://usglobalsat.com/p-683-et-662-sirf-iv.aspx#images/product/large/683.jpg

For more info about this product, you can refer to the following links below:
Detailed Specs: http://www.globalsat.com.tw/products-page.php?menu=2&gs_en_product_id=4&gs_en_product_cnt_id=69&img_id=532&product_cnt_folder=2
User Manual: http://www.globalsat.com.tw/products-page.php?menu=2&gs_en_product_id=4&gs_en_product_cnt_id=69&img_id=532&product_cnt_folder=8
The reason why the specs and manual of the EB-5662 were provided is because it has the same pin-out/features/functions as the ET-662. The only difference is the chipset inside them since the EB-5662 has the SiRFStarIV chipset.
