Unfortunately, due to the specific version of the PL2303 Prolific Chipset used in the DG-100, it will not be compatible with Windows 8.

If you're looking for a USB GPS Datalogger that works on Windows 8, we highly recommend the DG-200: http://www.usglobalsat.com/p-677-dg-200-gps-data-logger.aspx
