The size is as 40mmx 64mm (Diamter x height)
Exact will be under optimization.

Hopefully you will found best parts to build hardware. With software and flexible to change it by customer request you are already above of your competirors.

Yes Zingo you're right, the ring is gps. (I think).
I first made this sketches a while ago looking at my 615. After having seen 625 and 625XT I realize this might not be needed.

The S is for Start/stop/lap. Better symbol could probably be invented.

Shortcuts
Middle button to the left could be power or shortcuts depending on how shortcuts will be used.
Either shortcuts is made by pressing two buttons at the same time (like shortcutbutton and arrow up for gps off...etc) or shortcutbutton opens a window looking like the one below. Shortcuts are then confirmed by ok-button. If power off is chosen ok-button should be hold 3 seconds to power off to prevent switching off by accident. Tried to make a few pictures below. As you can see I can not really use these photoprograms.

This is a picture to go with reply #72 on page 5 in this thread.

USB is placed on the side to enable easy charging while running but could ofcourse be somewhere else. Will resize it to fit screen and write more tomorrow. Just wanted to post it. :-)

I really support this idea, especially if this kind of connection type can be water proof as well.

But still, it have to be very strong to avoid accidentaly broke this connection by tweak it when wire is connected to it.

You've got a point there! And we don't like long dangling wires when running anyway.

Idea: A little thing could be designed that allows you attach the battery to the wristband of the watch or on a separate wristband next to it. Then the cable wouldn't have to be more than 15 cm.
Hopefully the only thing that could happen then is to get caught up by a twig when running in the forest. Or someone yanking it when charging at home.

Very good idea that external wris band battery.
Also bike mount could have extrabattery inside, then charging watch during cycling would be really easy. This is needed on triathlon races where battery life can be problem.

I can't find the thread right now where the possibility of making laps by touching heartrate monitor with watch was discussed. Sounds nice if it can be switched off to prevent laps in every downhill...        No it's not me in the photo.


Q: this is a very nice thread with several good ideas. My question to all experenced forumusers is if this is a good way or if all ideas rather should be posted in different threads? I start to feel that I sometime can't find old discussions.

Start/Stop/Lap button on front side would be nice to have if possible. But it should be slightly embedded compared surrounding surface like Polar have to avoid accidentaly pushing button. On triathlon race during swim it can be hard fighting and there is easy to hit accidentaly other competitor with you watch and push button if it is similar than on GH-505 (I did that last year once, and wathc was stopped during swimming).

Can you give us list of features what you are planned to implement on new triathon watch GH-595?
