Hi Phil

Sounds great.
The product will be ready by the end of September. I can arrange sample and communication protocol for you if you would like to create plugin in ST.

Sincerely,

Geoffrey

Ok, I think I'll go ahead and implement the plugin, but as I said before, it could be slow, because I don't have much time available.
You can find my email in the Keymaze++ program, if you want to send me the communication protocol. We can talk about the sample later.

Regards,
-Phil

Hi Phil,

It is fine, it is much better if you can advise the plan.
The communication protocol will be released by next week.

Regards

Geoffrey  :)

Hi Geoffrey ,

I would be interrested in testing this new device. I would be using it when doing day-hikes around the Netherlands.

Kind regards,

Jeroen.

Phil
Since Linux is my main computer and TC don't work there I use SportTracks.

This means that I will offer my help in the quest to make GH-561
(and maybe GH-625) usable from a SportTracs plugin let me know if I
can help in any way.

Ok, thanks for your help.
Currently I have a rough version of the plugin, which can send tracks, routes and waypoints. I didn't test it but a few times and only on my Keymaze 500, but it should work with the GH-6*5 too - apart from the routes.
I can send it to you if you want to try it on Linux.

When I receive the test sample and the protocol specification, it should not be too hard to adapt it to work also with this device.

-Phil

Hi Geoffrey,

Yes, I sent an email on Monday just before replying here, with the subject "Glolbalsat GH-561 test sample" to claire.deng@globalsat.com.tw.
Maybe it went to the spam folder. Do you want me to send it again?

Can you also check the other thread? I have some questions there for you.

-Phil

Ok, I can send it to you, but it's not completed yet and it may have some bugs. What's your email?

What about my email to Claire. Can you confirm if it reached there or not?

-Phil
