For hikers, runners, bikers, skiers or most any athlete who incorporates GPS technology to fine tune their workout, or wants to record, and track their routes, the GH-615M GPS wrist-watch and heart-monitor are very useful tools. Within the black water-resistant housing, the GH-615M utilizes state-of-the-art technology including the SiRF Star III GPS chipset. The device supports WAAS / EGNOS for greater accuracy and has enough memory to store up to 60,000 waypoints. The GH-615M records and stores traveled routes using your pre-set time intervals and with it’s oversized LCD, GPS coordinates, speed, altitude, lap recording, and time alarm functions are all easy to read.
Recorded data is downloaded to a PC where it can saved into formats for use by a variety of third party programs such as Google Earth. File formats include .CSV, .TXT and .KML read. The GH615M is IPX7 waterproof, making it perfect for use even in the wettest outdoor conditions and can also be connected via the included USB cable to double as a GPS receiver for laptop applications.
Use Google Earth to plot your saved .KML files allowing you to view satellite imagery, maps, terrain of your recorded routes. The included utility comes on a CD-ROM with your GH-615 and makes file extraction, file saving and file viewing easy, and it's FREE!
